The holy grail of passive algorithmic discovery.
Discover Weekly relies almost entirely on matrix factorization. It builds a taste profile of a user based on their listening history, then finds similar profiles.
The Injection Phase
To get a track into Discover Weekly, it first needs to perform exceptionally well in "Release Radar" and lower-tier algorithmic placements like Spotify Radio. High save rates (saves/listeners) > 15% are usually required to trigger DW injection.
