Moving from Techno to R&B directly will confuse the algorithm's vector mapping. You must build a bridge.
The Pivot Track
A pivot track shares metadata characteristics of both genres. For example, a track with the BPM of house (120-125) but the acoustic properties of R&B (high vocal presence, lower aggressive synth energy).
